Course Materials Buyer

JOB TITLE:             Course Materials Buyer
REPORTS TO:        
Course Materials Manager
SALARY:                  DOE,
position is full time 40 hours per week.

SUMMARY:

Purchase books for the Textbook Department of the PSU Bookstore.
Responsible for all communications and book orders for 1/2 of the academic departments at Portland State University.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Knowledge of course material functions, including purchasing and inventory control.

·         Ability to use computer hardware and software applications, including word-processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

·         Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with customers, faculty, vendors, and employees, including customer service issues, problem solving and exchange of information.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree in business, or related field and 2-4 years experience in textbook purchasing and inventory control, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Prefer experience working with Win Prism.
