JOB TITLE: Course Materials Buyer
SUMMARY: Purchase books for
the Textbook Department of the PSU Bookstore.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of course
material functions, including purchasing and inventory control.
·
Ability to use computer
hardware and software applications, including word-processing, spreadsheets,
and databases.
·
Ability to communicate
effectively, both orally and in writing, with customers, faculty, vendors,
and employees, including customer service issues, problem solving and
exchange of information.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelors
degree in business, or related field and 2-4 years experience in textbook
purchasing and inventory control, or equivalent combination of education and/or
work experience. Prefer experience working with Win Prism. Portland State
University Bookstore is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit dedicated to serving the needs
of Portland State University students, staff and faculty.
